PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

e-Learning Development

• During the last 10 years I have been involved in every aspect of e-Learning development to include proposal development, project management, client needs analysis, technical requirements analysis, user interface design, instructional design, storyboard development, content development, graphics development, content integration and course deployment.
• Designed and directed the development of an object-oriented JavaScript/HTML Courseware Delivery System currently in use at Karta. This SCORM-compliant system allows both HTML and Flash-based content to be easily integrated into a unified courseware system that can either be run via the web or locally.
• Part of the team that developed a SCORM run-time environment compliant Learning Management System using Active Server Pages and either an Access or SQL Server database.
• Familiar with e-Learning Instructional Methodologies as well as the blending of interactivity levels with presentation methods to produce engaging high quality yet cost effective training.
• I have deployed hundreds of courses in a variety of CD, web, network and LMS-based environments. Specific Learning Management Systems I have deployed training to include Karta Learning Manager, Meridian, Atlas, Aspen, Thinq, GeoLearning, Plateau, NetG's SkillVantage Manager and Oracle iLearning.
• I have extensive experience using AICC, SCORM and IMS standards for content structure, aggregation and metadata creation.
• I am experienced using AICC HACP and SCORM's JavaScript API for communication between a LMS and training objects.
• I have specific experience creating e-Learning that complies with Section 508 of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
• Created courseware for a number of clients. Some of whom include the US Air Force, US Army, Veteran's Affairs, Housing and Urban Development, Defense Information Systems Agency, Zachry Construction, SBC and Southwest Airlines.

Multimedia and Web Development

• I have created several front-end web applications that connect to back-end database environments (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 and Access) using Microsoft's Active Data Object using ASP as well as ColdFusion.
• I am knowledgeable in configuring Windows-based Web Servers, particularly Microsoft's IIS.
• I am experienced in creating secure web sites using NT or Basic Authentication and SSL with a Verisign Server ID.
